How To Keep Your Fitness Routine in The Cold Months

How To Keep Your Fitness Routine in The Cold Months

Just before summer there is always a big push from the fitness industry to ‘get that summer body’ - encouraging people to lose weight to look good in swimwear. We in Osprey Leisure Club believe fitness and health isn’t a seasonal activity and we want out members to look and feel their best all year round. The Importance of Relaxation

The Importance of Relaxation

Do you feel your schedule is too busy to truly switch off? Can’t remember the last time you took time for yourself to relax without interruption? Don’t underestimate the importance of self-care and giving yourself time to regenerate your energy and release tension from your body. Relaxation isn’t always about an expensive holiday or spa treatments (although they do help!), sometimes relaxing can be done in ways you’ve never thought of. Here are our tips on how to relax no matter how busy your schedule is.

Exercise & Mental Health

Exercise & Mental Health

Keeping active not only improves your physical health, it can have an amazing effect on your mental health too. On top of heart strength, respiratory & circulatory regulation and weight control, regular exercise will help you sleep, relax and feel better all round. We’re not saying exercise is the miracle cure to mental health issues (you should always consult a healthcare professional if you are struggling) but it can definitely help!

The balance of life: Healthy mind. Healthy body

The balance of life: Healthy mind. Healthy body

This blog focuses on mental awareness, a topic which has risen to the forefront of popular discussions, I believe this should continue, so… let’s crack on.

Whether you train at the gym due to sporting commitments, for looking good or just to stay active, we all have our own personal fitness goals. These goals tend to be self-centred personal desires; Increasing glutes size, having a thigh gap or training to be able to complete a marathon. I’m definitely not suggesting this is a bad thing!

The benefits of spinning

The benefits of spinning

Come and get your endorphins flowing at Spin. We offer daily sessions with a sole mission of increasing your fitness and motivation levels; you will attend feeling tired and leave feeling revitalised. We do not design our classes for those wanting to compete in the Tour De France, we make them challenging yet accessible, suitable for the Sunday cruiser or to those who are partial to a little bit of lycra. Though we do caution that our instructors will be giving 100% which can be exceptionally contagious. Our Spin classes are known for making stairs especially difficult the next day, but then again, no pain no gain!
